Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene

Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene is a world-class polytechnic. The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna has granted accreditation for all the programmes presented for accreditation. The programmes of the polytechnic are specifically designed to develop low and middle cadre manpower to meet the need of Hi-Tech Industries. These programmes are skill-based tailored to link theoretical knowledge with practical applications in industries. Our students on completion of the programme would be equipped with cutting-edge skills to establish their own businesses if desired.

Congratulations on your decision to join Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene. This is the beginning of a fruitful, rewarding and enriching learning journey. Foundation Polytechnic is brought to life through specialised learning approaches, market driven curricula as well as meaningful and vibrant campus life. Our goal is to prepare you for industry and society while recognizing and developing your talents and abilities. You will find the tools, expertise and inspiration to make your ambitions a reality. Part of our training would require you to be placed on internship with industry partners so as to better prepare you for the working world. Some of our students may be offered jobs before graduation by the companies they would be attached to.

JAMB ADMISSION LETTERS

All candidates who have done change of institution to Foundation Polytechnic and uploaded their O'level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent) are hereby informed that JAMB has approved their Admission.

They are advised to login to JAMB CAPS, accept offer of Admission and print out their Admission letters. The Institution's copy of the admission letter should be submitted to the Registrar's office on resumption.

Other candidates who have not yet done change of institution on JAMB or have not uploaded their O'level results are advised to do that as soon as possible. This is to enable us process their JAMB Admission letters.

2024/2025 POST UTME SCREENING

Candidates who scored a minimum of 120 marks in JAMB are invited to apply for post UTME screening. Candidates who did not choose Foundation Polytechnic as first choice in JAMB are required to do change of institution and make Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene, first choice.

METHODS OF APPLICATION:
(I) Mobile Application: send your name, JAMB Registration number, & course of study to 0706-809-2448
(ii) Online Application: Log on to www.foundationpoly.edu.ng & fill admission form
(III) Paper Application: Visit Registrar's office & fill Paper Application

SCREENING:
There will be screening for all candidates on every working day. The documents needed for screening are O'level result, JAMB result & Birth Certificate. There will be no form of examination during the screening exercise.

JAMB APPROVES CBT CENTRE FOR FOUNDATION POLY

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has approved the Foundation Polytechnic's Computer Based Test (CBT) centre as one of the listed centres for the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) exercise.

The CBT centre is located in the Department of Computer Science of the Polytechnic.
