The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna has approved additional seven programmes for Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Idem, Ikot Ekpene. The approval was contained in a letter issued by NBTE dated 11th May 2025 and signed by Dr Mrs Fatima Kabir Umar, the Director of Polytechnic Programmes.
According to the letter, the board stated that the Resources Inspection was carried out from 6th to 8th May 2025. The newly approved programmes are:
In his reaction, the President of the institution, Mr Edet Ekanem expressed happiness with the approval of the new programmes. He specifically thanked all the staff that worked diligently for the accreditation exercise.
Samuel NtuenAll candidates who have done change of institution to Foundation Polytechnic and uploaded their O'level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent) are hereby informed that JAMB has approved their Admission.
They are advised to login to JAMB CAPS, accept offer of Admission and print out their Admission letters. The Institution's copy of the admission letter should be submitted to the Registrar's office on resumption.
Other candidates who have not yet done change of institution on JAMB or have not uploaded their O'level results are advised to do that as soon as possible. This is to enable us process their JAMB Admission letters.
Candidates who scored a minimum of 130 marks in JAMB are invited to apply for post UTME screening. Candidates who did not choose Foundation Polytechnic as first choice in JAMB are required to do change of institution and make Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene, first choice.
METHODS OF APPLICATION:
(I) Mobile Application: send your name, JAMB Registration number, & course of study to 0706-809-2448
(ii) Online Application: Log on to www.foundationpoly.edu.ng & fill admission form
(III) Paper Application: Visit Registrar's office & fill Paper Application
SCREENING:
There will be screening for all candidates on every working day. The documents needed for screening are O'level result, JAMB result & Birth Certificate. There will be no form of examination during the screening exercise.
