Goal and Objective of the National Diploma Programme in Electrical/Electronic Engineering:
The programme is designed to produce electrical/electronic engineering technicians for the following industries: manufacturing, assembling, servicing, power generation, transmission, and utilization, telecommunications and other related industries. More specially, diplomats of the programme should be able to:
1. Construct simple electrical and electronic circuits when necessary for use in modification or as a part of a system.
2. Assemble, install and test-run simple electrical and electronic equipment;
3. Carry out both preventive and correction maintenance on simple electronic/electrical installation, equipment and appliances.
4. Select and use appropriate instrument to carry out tests and measurement on all types of electronic installation and equipment under various operating conditions.
5. Operate relevant equipment and installations whenever required;
6. Prepare simple bills of quantities and specifications related to electrical/electronic engineering works;
7. Coordinating and supervise craftsmen in activities related to electrical/electronic engineering services
8. Maintain a personal logbook to record his daily and weekly activities for each semester.
GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
The entry requirements for National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering are;
Five credit level passes at senior school certificate examination (SSCE) or its equivalent at not more than TWO sittings. The five subjects must include English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and any subject from: Biology/Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics,
Technical Drawing, Auto Body Repair and Spray Painting, Auto Electrical Works, Auto Mechanical Works, Auto Mechanics, Auto Parts Merchandising, Blocklaying, Bricklaying and Concreting, Building Construction, Carpentry and Joinery, Electrical Installation & Maintenance Work, Electronics or Basic Electronics, Furniture Making, GSM Phone Maintenance and Repairs, Machine Woodworking, Metal Work, Mining, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting, Radio/Television and Electronics Works, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning, Welding and Fabrication Engineering Craft Practice.

Goal and Objectives of the National Diploma in Computer Engineering are;

2. Set up computer system for installation, configuration and operation;
3. Set up computer networks for installation configuration and operating;
4. Use appropriate instruments and software to carryout simple test and measurement on all subsystems in a computer and its peripherals;
5. Carryout routine maintenance and repair of
i. Computer Hardware
ii. Computer Software
iii. Computer Peripherals
6. Construct simple computer circuit;
7. Develop simple programming codes;
8. Write technical reports;
9. Manage a small enterprise.
