The Department offers the following Programmes:

• Certificate in Computer Applications & Data Processing
• National Diploma in Computer Science

Goal and Objectives of the National Diploma in Computer Science are;

• Operate a Computer Systems
• Use Various Computer packages
• Maintain Hardware
• Solve simple hardware problems
• Use various programming languages like:
• Visual BASIC
• JAVA
• C Programming
• Unified Modeling Language (UML)
• Hyper Text Mark-up Language
• Use Internet
• Set up Network
• Set up and manage an enterprise.

Entry Requirements:
The entry requirements into National Diploma Computer Science Programmes are as follows;
Five Olevel Credits including English Language, Mathematics, a basic science and two other subjects chosen from the following: Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Typewriting, and Relevant NTC/NBC & NVC Trades. A Pass in Physics is compulsory for Computer Science.

Goals and Objectives of the Diploma in Statistics:
The National Diploma programme in Statistics is aimed at producing assistant statisticians capable of collecting data, analyzing and making inference under supervision. On the completion of the programme the diplomat should be able to:

• Acquire a good knowledge of basic statistics and statistical method
• Understand the application of statistics in commercial, industrial and scientific environment
• Acquire a practical shill in data collection, analyses and research methods
• Understand the use of computers for various purposes
• Set out statistical projects under supervision.
